Four BC players tally double figures in the loss
PITTSBURGH, Pa. —  Four Boston College players scored in double-figures, led by 14 from Elijah Strong, in a 93-67 loss at Pittsburgh in the regular season finale.
The Eagles close the 2024-25 season with a 12-19 overall record and a 4-16 mark in ACC play.
Donald Hand Jr. scored 12 points to go along with five boards, while Dion Brown and Chad Venning each had 10 points in the loss.
For the game, BC shot 43.4% (23-53) from the floor, and 5-of-25 from beyond the arc. Â The Eagles had 14 assists to 12 turnovers and were outrebounded 37-29.

- Both teams battled through the first five-plus minutes, combining to make 4-of-14 from the floor, with Pitt leading 6-4 at the first media break
- An 14-2 Pitt run by Pitt put the Panthers up 18-4 with 11:32 to go
- The Panthers extended its lead to 18 - 30-12 - with 6:52 left in the period
- The Eagles would manage only 28.0% shooting (7-25) during the first half, trailing 48-19 at the break.
- The Eagles made 4-of-5 to start the half, including a trio of 3-pointers from Elijah Strong, Donald Hand Jr., and Chas Kelley III
- Both teams shot the ball well from long range to start the second half, as BC made 3-of-5 from beyond the arc and Pitt 3-of-6.
- Strong (12) and Hand Jr. (11) each tallied double-digits in the second frame
- Chad Venning closed out his collegiate career with his 76th game in double figures in the scoring column. Â In 136 total games, the Brooklyn big man tallied 1,422 points, 546 rebounds, 73 assists, 53 steals, and 177 blocked shots.Â
- Roger McFarlane - who missed the previous two games due to injury - finished his college career having tallied 1,156 points, 791 rebounds, 156 assists, 108 steals, and 18 blocked shots.
