Eagles Grab Second Victory of 2025 Season

BC sailed away with the Marchiando Trophy
BOSTON, Mass. – Boston College Sailing picked up their second victory of the season this past weekend, winning the Marchiando Team Race, hosted by MIT. The Eagles also took sixth place in the Jumbo Team Race, hosted by Tufts.
In the Marchiando Team Race, the Eagles went 18-3, winning 85.7% of their races. They went 7-0 in the first round, 6-1 in the second round, and 5-2 in the third round. In the first two rounds, the sailors were racing in 420s, while the third round was raced using FJs. This is the second victory of the season for BC, who also won the Geiger Team Race earlier this month.
In the Jumbo Team Race, BC sailed to a sixth place finish, going 8-10. The Eagles went 3-4 in the first round, 2-5 in the second round, and 3-1 in the third round.
