
Women's Basketball Drops Regular Season Finale

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Boston College women's basketball fell to Syracuse in the regular-season finale 82-57 on Sunday evening.
The Eagles fall to 15-16 on the season and 6-12 in ACC play, while the Orange improve to 12-17 and 6-12 in the conference.
BC will head into the 2025 ACC Ally Women's Basketball Tournament as the 12th seed, where they will play No. 13 Syracuse on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Teya Sidberry scored a team-high 20 points with nine rebounds, shooting 7-of-13 from the field and adding two steals. Savannah Samuel was the other Eagle in double figures with 10 points.
Andrea Daley led the way with 12 rebounds and six points.
A cold spell in the first half on offense set the tone for the rest of the afternoon. The Orange took an early 11-2 lead before a Sidberry layup cut the deficit to five. Syracuse stretched its lead to at the end of the opening period.
Syracuse shot over 50 percent from the field in the second quarter to extend its lead at the half. The Orange pulled away in the second half to earn the season split.
BC recorded 19 offensive rebounds but scored 11 second-chance points, while Syracuse scored 27 points off turnovers.
