FIRST HALF
FIRST HALF
- BC jumped out to a quick five-point lead to start the game and led 8-3 with 16:33 left, before a Georgia Tech 9-3 push gave the Yellow Jackets a 12-11 advantage seven minutes in.
- BC used back-to-back 3-pointers from Joshua Beadle and Hand to regain its five-point edge - at 19-14 with 9:53 left.
- The Eagles used a barrage of long-range jumpers in the first half, using a trifecta from Elijah Strong with 7:13 left to take its largest lead - 25-18 - with 7:13 to go.
- Seven of BC's first nine field goals in the half were 3-pointers.
- The Eagles would finish with eight 3-pointers in the first half - the most in the first 20 minutes of a game this year, and tying for the most in a single half (8 at North Carolina, 2nd half).Â
- BC led 32-27 at the break.Â
- The Eagles scored the first 10 points of the second half, building a 42-27 lead. Venning scored eight of the first 10 in that run.Â
- Two free throws from Chas Kelley III with 14:03 to play kept it at 15 - 44-29.Â
- BC maintained a double-digit lead much of the rest of the way, before Georgia Tech managed to get within eight - 51-43 - after a 3-pointer with 6:15 to play.Â
- But BC's Dion Brown put it right back to 11 on the next possession, thanks to a traditional three-point play.Â
- A 7-2 GT push got it within six, but again Brown would counter with a layup, making it 58-50 at the final media timeout.
- Hand iced the game with his fourth 3-pointer with 1:03 remaining.Â
- Two players finished in double figures for the Eagles: Hand (20) and Venning (13).
- Hand, McFarlane, and Venning each hauled in seven rebounds.

- Hand posted his ninth game this season with 20 or more points.Â
- The Eagles turned the ball over only six times, tying a season-low (6 vs. Syracuse on Jan. 11, 2025). BC forced 13 turnovers in the game.Â
- The Eagles improved to 4-0 this season when allowing 60 or less points and 7-1 when their opponent shoots less than 40%.Â
- Today's game marked the 34th meeting between the two schools. Boston College improved to 13-20 all-time and 7-7 at home vs. Georgia Tech.Â
- This marked the second of two regular season meetings vs. GT. BC dropped an 85-64 decision in Atlanta on Jan. 4.
