CHESTNUT HILL, MA - Boston College is back in action this weekend, hosting the University of New Haven on Saturday, December 6. Tip off is set for 12 p.m. and can be seen on ACCNX.

BOSTON COLLEGE VS. NEW HAVEN - ALL-TIME SERIES
- Saturday marks the inaugural meeting between BC and New Haven.
- New Haven is the second team from the NEC that BC will face this season.
- This is New Haven's first year as a Division I program.
BOSTON COLLEGE vs. NORTHEAST CONFERENCE
- The Eagles are 27-2 all-time vs. current NEC teams.
- Boston College played Central Connecticut State earlier this season, falling 60-59. Fred Payne scored a season-high 17 points to lead the Eagles, with Chase Forte recording a care-high three blocks.
- BC will play FDU (Dec. 22) and Le Moyne (Dec. 28) to close out non-conference play.
LAST TIME OUT
- Boston College welcomed LSU for the first time in program history. The teams squared off as part of the ACC/SEC Men's Challenge, where the Tigers took a 78-69 overtime decision.
- Four Eagles reached double figures, led by Luka Toews with 14 points. Boden Kapke and Caleb Steger added 23 combined points off the bench, and Donald Hand Jr. led all starters with 12 points.
- Steger recorded a new career-high in points (11), while Toews matched his career high in scoring (14) and Hastings in blocks (4).
EDGERLEY FAMILY COURT
- The basketball court at Silvio O. Conte Forum will officially be named the Edgerley Family Court starting this season.
- The Edgerley's are active members of the Parents Leadership Council and are supporters of undergraduate financial aid at Boston College, having co-chaired Pops on the Heights in 2023 and 2024.
- Sandra Edgerley serves on the Boston College Board of Trustees, where she is a member of the Academic Affairs Committee. Paul Edgerley is a senior advisor at Bain Capital, where he was a managing director and played a leadership role for more than 30 years.
- The court is a lasting symbol of the Edgerleys' commitment to enhancing the tradition of excellence at Boston College.

- Boston College is 4-3 all-time when playing on December 6. The most recent contest was played against New Hampshire in 2022, where BC fell 74-71 in overtime.
- The Eagles' first win on December 6 came against Arnold in 1950, earning a 92-53 victory.

RISING ABOVE THE CROWD
- Boston College is making their mark nationally through the first nine games this season.
- Defensively, the Eagles rank 26th in the nation and third in the ACC in blocks per game (5.4). Shaw and Hastings rank 68th in the nation and fourth in the ACC individually in total blocks (14) and Hastings ranks eighth (10). The team also holds the 24th best 3pt scoring defense (27.2) and 60th best scoring defense (67.0).
- BC is cleaning up the boards efficiently, collecting 40.9 boards per game, good for 50th in the NCAA. The team is also taking care of the ball, allowing just 10.1 turnovers per game. That mark ranks 46th in the nation and fourth in the ACC.
MAKING THE LEAP - FRED PAYNE
- In his second full season with BC, Fred Payne has made improvements on both sides of the ball.
- Payne has seen increases in points (+5.3), rebounds (+0.8), assists (+1.7) across the first eight games.
- His field goal shooting has been more efficient, seeing a +3.2% increase from his numbers in 2024-25.
- Defensively, the redshirt-sophomore has more than doubled his steal (9) and block (3) count in the same number of games played.
- Using the PAR/G metric (points+assists+rebounds/game), Payne has jumped +7.8 year-over-year.
CAREER ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Boden Kapke logged a career-high 17 points, and Fred Payne dished a career-high seven assists against FAU (11/3).
- Marko Radunovic and Caleb Steger made their collegiate debuts against FAU. Radunovic recorded eight points, going 2-3 from behind the arc, and Steger played five minutes with two field goal attempts.
- Jason Asemota flourished in the home-opener against The Citadel (11/6), grabbing a career-high nine points and adding four rebounds to lead all bench scorers.
- Chase Forte swatted a career-high three blocks against Central Connecticut State (11/11).
- Aidan Shaw secured a career-high 14 rebounds and matched a career-high in blocks (5) against Temple (11/15). He became the first BC player to record five or more blocks since Quinten Post did against Louisville (2/13/24).
- Shaw dished a career-high three assists against Hampton (11/18).
- Hastings grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds and registered his first career double-double (11p/10r) against Davidson (11/21).
- Caleb Steger recorded career-highs in points (11) and 3pt field goals (3) against LSU (12/3).
SIZZLING STREAKS
- Fred Payne rode a six game streak of double digit scoring. His season best 17 points against CCSU and Temple kickstarted that streak, with his most recent display of 17 points coming against Harvard.
- Aidan Shaw rode a five game streak with at least one block. His season-best mark came against Temple (14).
- Shaw also rode a seven game streak of at least eight rebounds per game. The stretch saw Shaw surpass 10+ rebounds on multiple occasions, including a career-high 14 rebounds against Temple.
INSTANT IMPACT
- The freshmen tandem of Radunovic and Steger have translated well through the first two games, combining for 7.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game.
- Kapke, Chase Forte, Jason Asemota, and Aidan Shaw are making their presence known on Chestnut Hill. The quadruple is averaging a combined 26.4 points, 17.3 rebounds, 11.0 assists, 6.5 blocks and 3.8 steals per game.
- Individually, Shaw leads the team in rebounds (8.4), and Forte ranks first on the team in assists (3.0) and steals (1.0).
FORMIDABLE OPPONENTS IN 2025-26
- Boston College will face 13 non-conference opponents from a possible nine different conferences in 2025-26.
- Four of the 13 non-con opponents hail from the NEC (CCSU, New Haven, FDU, and Le Moyne).
