Women's Basketball Falls to No. 16/15 North Carolina

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Boston College women's basketball fell to No. 16/15 North Carolina, 90-39, Monday evening at Conte Forum.
The Eagles move to 4-11 overall and 0-2 in ACC play, while the Tar Heels improve to 12-3 on the season and 1-1 in league action.
Kaia Henderson led BC off the bench, scoring a career-high 10 points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field.
North Carolina opened the game shooting 6-of-7 from the floor to build a 13-5 advantage midway through the first quarter. Boston College trimmed the deficit to five on multiple occasions, highlighted by a 3-pointer from Teionni McDaniel and another triple from Henderson later in the period. UNC carried a 20-13 lead into the second quarter.
The Tar Heels extended their lead in the second, shooting 64.7 percent from the field while BC struggled offensively, heading into halftime with a double-digit deficit.
North Carolina maintained control the rest of the way, finishing the night shooting over 55 percent from the floor and scoring 52 points in the paint.
Boston College returns to action Thursday, opening its ACC road slate at Duke with a 1 p.m. tipoff.
