The Eagles started the game 6-for-7 from the floor and had a 13-9 advantage through the media timeout. A Jocelyne Grier trifecta and a layup from Carmody pushed the lead to 18-11 before a UNH layup cut the deficit to five at the end of the first.
A defensive battle in the second quarter ensued as both teams shot under 30 percent from the floor. BC stayed in front for the rest of the half despite UNH tying up the contest with an 8-0 spurt. McDaniel's layup with 1:04 left in the half gave BC a 28-24 cushion going into the break.
BC improved at the line in the win, shooting 19-of-23 for an 83 percent clip. The Eagles also boasted a 20-0 advantage in transition points.
The Eagles return to action to face UMass Lowell on Sunday at noon in Conte Forum.
