CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Trey Beamer has signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career as a member of the Boston College men's basketball program.
"Trey Beamer is a game changer,"Â said the Clement and Elizabeth Izzi Family Head Coach Earl Grant. "We're excited that he's joining our program as we pursue a breakthrough. He's a dual threat; his knack for scoring the ball and his ability to run a team as a lead guard makes him special. We look forward to getting him to campus and start his development plan."
Beamer is a 6-3 guard who is finishing up his final prep season at IMG Academy in Braedenton, Fla. He plays for Team United on the Nike EYBL Grassroots Circuit.
A 4-star rated recruit by Rivals, 247Sports, and On3, Beamer signs with the Eagles as the no. 86 ranked player in the country. The Martinsville, Va. native is set to join the Maroon and Gold as the no. 9 point guard in the country and no. 14 overall in the state of Florida according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
During the Grassroots season, Beamer played for Team United on the Nike EYBL Circuit where he averaged 19.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game during Session 4.
Beamer previously suited up for Carlisle High School before transferring to the aforementioned IMG Academy ahead of his senior season, averaging 25.5 points per game on 60% shooting from the floor and 40% shooting from three as a junior. He also added nearly six rebounds and four assists per game in his final season at Carlisle.
