
Eagles Tripped up at Louisville

In his second start of the season, Grayson James finished 23-of-46 for 244 yards and three touchdowns. Jordan McDonald led the running game with 80 yards on 19 carries. Kaelan Chudzinski had a career day with four receptions, a game and career-high 80 yards with a score. Lewis Bond hauled in six catches for 42 yards and a touchdown, while Jeremiah Franklin caught five passes for 55 yards and one touchdown.
Luca Lombardo knocked in his lone field goal.
Omar Thornton had nine total tackles, including five solo. TJ Green and KP Price each recorded eight tackles. Price recorded his second interception of the season, while Green had a strip sack of Miller Moss.
The Eagles scored on their opening drive, as James led a 15-play, 55-yard drive, highlighted by a 17-yard completion to Reed Harris that was capped off by a 38-yard field goal from Lombardo.
Louisville immediately responded on the next drive with Moss scoring on the quarterback keeper after a 73-yard run from Isaac Brown.
BC scored its first touchdown of the evening on its next possession, when James found Bond in the end zone for the six-yard score to cap off a 10-play, 75-yard drive.
The two teams went back and forth following the Eagles' touchdown, but neither could get points on the board.
The Cardinals took the lead back just before halftime as Moss and Isaac Brown had rushing touchdowns to make it 21-10.
Following a fumble recovery by Isaiah Farris, Â James found Chudzinski for a 23-yard touchdown pass to make it 21-17 just 52 seconds into the second half.
Louisville pushed the lead back to double digits when Moss found the back of the end zone for a 22-yard touchdown pass. The Cardinals then made it 31-17 with eight minutes to go in the game.
James found Franklin for 21 yards with just over six minutes to go to cut the deficit to 31-24.
Louisville pushed its lead back to double digits when Keyjuan Brown ran 67 yards with just under two minutes to go.
Boston College returns to Alumni Stadium next Saturday to take on Notre Dame in its final non-conference game of the season. The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. and be broadcast on ESPN.
