October 02, 2025 | Men's Cross Country
CHICAGO, Ill. – The Boston College Men's Cross Country Team begins the 2025 season with the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational Invite on Friday, October 3.
Â
The 46th annual event will take place along the Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course, overlooking Lake Michigan. The Tom Cooney Men's 8k Championship Race is set to begin at 10:40 a.m. EST, comprised of four loops across the race course. It is Boston College's first time competing in the event.
Â
The field consists of 14 Division I teams, including three nationally ranked programs (No. 7 Wisconsin, No. 16 North Carolina and No. 24 Washington). The Eagles enter Friday's race as the No. 5-ranked team in the Northeast Region, their highest ranking in program history.
Â
"Really looking forward to opening up our season on Friday," said Head Coach & Director Pete Watson about the cross-country season opener. "This will be a very competitive field to race against in our first competition, and we are excited to see where we are at this stage of the year."
