
Eagles Grab Top Ten Finish at Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Boston College Men's Cross Country team finished tenth overall with 219 points at the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational to kick off the season.
The Eagles secured a top-ten finish out of 14 competing teams, finishing the event as the third-highest placing team from the ACC. Four of Boston College's five scorers also set personal bests in the 8k
Theodor Schucht led Boston College from start to finish, maintaining a top 15 position before crossing the line in 11th at 23:45.9. Behind him came Aidan Brancaccio, who set a new personal best time of 24:12.9, beating his previous best by just under 32 seconds, to finish 29th in the 8k race.
Next to cross the line were Nick Loffredo and Colin Peattie, finishing two seconds apart. Loffredo took 55th with a new 8k personal best time of 24:42.8, followed by Peattie, who leaped across in 56th, also setting a new personal best of 24:44.9.
The final scorer for the Eagles was Mac Kittrell, who covered the 8k racecourse in 24:58.01, a new personal best, finishing in 70th.
Following the Boston College top five were Edward Sullivan (25:26.9) in 86th, Mateo Bianchi (25:44.6) in 95th, Sean Fleming (25:51.9) crossing the line in 97th, and Patrick Donnelly (26:18.1) rounding out the lineup in 99th.
Next on the schedule is the Princeton Fall Classic, hosted by Princeton on Friday, October 17.
