
Women’s Hockey Suffers Setback at Providence

Providence, R.I. – Boston College Women's Hockey fell to the Providence Friars 4-1 on Friday night at Scheider Arena.
Providence took a 1-0 lead early in the first period when Reichen Kirchmair netted a goal from the slot at 1:13.
Keri Clougherty tied it up after she got the puck past Hope Walinski off the rebound of Lauren Glaser's shot at 8:33 in the first period.
The teams traded chances throughout the second period until the Friars gained the lead with a goal from Krichmair for her second goal of the night with 7:24 left in the frame. The Huskies went into the final 20 minutes with a 2-1 advantage.
Providence netted two goals in the final frame to give them the 4-1 advantage over the Eagles.
