
Eagles Drop Home Game to No. 3 Notre Dame

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's basketball fell to No. 3 Notre Dame in an 89-63 loss on Thursday evening in Conte Forum.
The Eagles fall to 12-9 and 3-5 in the ACC, while the Fighting Irish move to 17-2 and 8-0 in the league.
T'yana Todd paced the offense with 18 points on 7-of-15 shooting, while Andrea Daley netted 10 rebounds and seven points.
It was a back-and-forth affair in the opening period, as neither team led by more than three points. BC held the Fighting Irish scoreless over the final 2:56 of the contest, while a Savannah Samuel free throw gave the hosts an 18-17 advantage after the first.
ND went up by four early in the second quarter before a Kaylah Ivey trey sliced the deficit to one, 27-26. However, the visitors put together an 8-0 run to go up by nine. BC struggled from the field over the last 3:06 of the half, leading to a 41-31 lead at halftime.
The momentum continued for the Fighting Irish in the second half, building their lead above double digits. The Eagles shot 50 percent from the field, but ND answered by going 12-for-19 in the third, outscoring BC by 10 and eventually pulling away for the win.
BC aims for a second straight ACC win on the road when it returns to action on Sunday at 2 p.m. against Wake Forest in Winston-Salem.
