Red Bandanna Game Set for Primetime

Boston College hosts Michigan State Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. on ACC Network.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Boston College's week four game against Michigan State at Alumni Stadium is scheduled for an 8 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, Sept, 21. The game will be the Eagles' 11th Annual Red Bandanna Game and will air nationally on ACC Network.
The Red Bandanna Game honors BC alum and 9/11 hero Welles Crowther '99. The red bandanna was a defining feature used to identify Crowther, who died in the terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001. Crowther, known to survivors as "The Man in the Red Bandanna" is credited with saving at least one dozen people in the South Tower of the World Trade Center. Crowther played lacrosse at BC and worked as an equities trader in New York, on the 104th floor of the South Tower, following graduation.
BC began its Red Bandanna Game tradition in 2014 with a 37-31 upset of No. 9 USC.
Boston College is 2-0 to start the season and ranked No. 24 in the AP Top-25; the program's first national ranking since 2018. The Eagles are in action this week at No. 6 Missouri on Saturday, Sept. for a 12:45 p.m. contest on SEC Network.
