Evanston, Ill. - The No. 17 Eagles fell to the No. 1 Wildcats 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in Evanston. The game remained scoreless through 56 minutes, until Northwestern's Ashley Sessa tipped in a pass from Maddie Zimmer for the lone goal of the game.Â
Both teams traded opportunities throughout the game, with BC earning eight penalty corners to Northwestern's nine. The Wildcats had the edge in shots (15-5) and shots on goal (6-2). Charley Kramer posted five saves in goal for the Eagles, while Annabel Skubisz posted two for the Wildcats.
Up next: The Eagles are back in action this Friday at 5:00 p.m. against Maine at the Newton Field Hockey Complex. This is the Red Bandanna Game, and will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.
