
No. 17 Boston College Faces Top-Ranked Teams in ACC/Big Ten Challenge

Eagles will face Maryland and Northwestern in Evanston this weekend
Chestnut Hill, Mass. - No. 17 Boston College (2-0) will travel to Evanston, Ill. this weekend for the ACC/Big 10 Challenge, hosted by Northwestern University. The Eagles will play two games, one on Friday at 3:00 p.m. vs. No. 4 Maryland (2-0) and one on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. vs. No. 1 Northwestern (2-0). BC is looking to keep up the momentum after starting off the season 2-0, defeating Northeastern 3-1 and Boston University 6-0 at home last weekend.
Maryland started the season with a 2-1 overtime victory over Louisville, followed by a 2-0 victory over Drexel. In last year's ACC/Big 10 Challenge, the Terrapins emerged victorious, defeating the Eagles 1-0 in overtime. BC holds a 3-5 record against the Terps in ACC/Big 10 Challenge matchups, dating back to 2015.Â
Northwestern got off to a hot start, with a 3-0 victory over Maine and a 6-1 win over UMass last weekend, and will look to defend home turf this weekend. In their last meeting, the Eagles fell to the Wildcats 1-0 in overtime. Boston College holds a 2-6 record against Northwestern in ACC/Big 10 Challenge matchups, dating back to 2015.
Both games this weekend will be held at Lakeside Field in Evanston, Ill., and will be streamed live on Big Ten Plus.
