Eagles Head to Baton Rouge for LSU Invitational

BC is set to face North Florida, LSU, and San Diego in LSU Invitational
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.-- The Eagles travel to Louisiana for the LSU Invitational to face North Florida, LSU, and San Diego in Baton Rouge. The Eagles kick-off play facing North Florida at 11:00 a.m. then closing out Thursday night against LSU at 7:00 p.m. The Eagles finish off the tournament facing San Diego at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20.
Boston College volleyball moved to 6-3 on the season during its month-long stretch on the road this past weekend at the Classic City Clash. The Eagles faced Jacksonville, Georgia, and Utah Valley.
Halle Schroder led the Eagles offense adding 3.73 kills per set adding 41 kills over the three matches. Defensively Schroder added 25 digs and three blocks. Julia Haggerty and Cornelia Roach each added 14 blocks averaging 1.27 blocks per set.
Thursday marks the first meeting of the Eagles and North Florida and LSU. North Florida enters the invitational 3-7 on the season, falling to South Florida and ACC competitors NC State at the South Florida Invitational last weekend.
LSU hosts its second tournament of the 2024 season. The Tigers kicked off their 2024 season hosting New Hampshire, Maryland, and Troy. LSU holds a 6-2 record, falling to Troy and no.18 Baylor.
Friday's match-up against San Diego will be the second all-time meeting between the two programs. BC last faced USD in 2023 at the San Diego Invitational. In the match Halle Schroder led the offense adding 11 kills, and six digs. Sophia Lambros and Jane Petrie guided the offense adding together 23 assists. On the defensive end Grace Milliken had a match high six blocks, while adding on three kills.
The Eagles continue on the road, and kick-off ACC play facing Duke Sept. 27 at 4:00 p.m.
