Four Different Eagles scored in the victory over LIU.
NEWTON, Mass. – Boston College women's soccer defeated Long Island University 6-0 in an impressive style.
The Eagle scored six times. The last time BC beat a team 6-0 was in 2015 against Pacific.
The scoring opened up on an LIU own goal in the game's second minute. In the 53rd minute, LIU had another own goal.
In the 17th minute, Aislin Streicek scored to give BC a two-goal lead. Streicek's goal came off a corner kick where she sent it to the back of the net directly from the corner.
Both Andi Barth and Sydney Segalla picked up goals in the first half. Segalla has now scored in the last three games.
Captain Emily Sapienza captured the last goal for the Eagles in the 47th minute of the game.
Amaila Dray, Bella Dougals and Georgina Clarke all picked up points through assists.
The Eagles return to action on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. against Dartmouth for their first road game of the season.
