ACC/SEC Challenge: BC to Host South Carolina

The Eagles and Gamecocks will square off on Dec. 3 at Conte Forum
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College will host South Carolina as part of the second annual ACC/SEC Challenge, it was announced today by ESPN. Â The Eagles and Gamecocks will face off on Tuesday, Dec. 3. Â
The ACC/SEC Challenge will feature games across the ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network, and SEC Networks.  Coverage details, including platform designations and commentator information, as well as tip time will be announced at a later date.
Boston College leads the all-time series between the two schools, 2-1, with the last meeting coming on Jan. 1, 2011 - an 85-70 win for the Eagles in Columbia, S.C.
Last year, Boston College earned an 80-62 win at Vanderbilt on Nov. 29, in the inaugural challenge between the two conferences. Â It marked the first regular season victory over an SEC foe since Dec. 12, 2016, when BC downed Auburn, 72-71, at Madison Square Garden.
Fans can now reserve their seats at Conte Forum, as season tickets are on sale for the upcoming 2024-25 Boston College men's basketball season. Â Full season packages start as low as $150 for adults and are available at all price levels, including the lower bowl.
The Eagles' full home slate - including dates and opponents - will be announced at a later date. Â Boston College will host 10 ACC opponents, including matchups with Duke, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, SMU, and Virginia Tech.Â
