Zoe Hines Walk Off Homer Secures Game One

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.– The Boston College Softball program defeated the Cardinals, 3-2, in the first game of the series at the Harrington Athletics Village. The Eagles advance to 28-22 on the season, and 8-14 in the ACC.Â
The Cardinals kicked off play in the first scoring two runs off of a two run homer. BC was able to respond in the bottom of the second manufacturing a run with bases loaded. Gator Robinson was hit by the pitch, adding one to the board. Â
The score remained locked going into the bottom of the seventh. With two outs on the board, and a two and two count, Zoe Hines hit a two-run walk off homer, her first home run of the season. The Eagles secured the victory 3-2.Â
BC returns to action tomorrow at noon for game two of the series at the Harrington Athletics Village.
