Sailing Places Third at ICSA Women's Team Race National Championship

Boston College places third overall with a 12-7 record.
BOSTON, Mass. – The Boston College Sailing team finished third overall at the ICSA Women's Team Race National Championship over the span of Apr. 28-29 in Cambridge, Mass.
ICSA Women's Team Race National Championship
Boston College placed third overall at the ICSA Women's Team Race National Championship with a 12-7 record over the course of the two-day regatta. The National Championship Regatta was hosted by Roger Williams, and it took place Apr. 28-29 with the Eagles going up against the top teams in the country.
Day one
The Eagles started the Women's National Championship Regatta on Sunday with a 8-3 record in round one. Boston College earned victories over Cornell, Dartmouth, Charleston after losing the first two races. After falling to UPenn, the Eagles proceeded to win the last five races with four 1-2-4 finishes. Boston College headed into day two in second place.
Day two
The Eagles started off day two on Monday with the top-6 round. Boston College finished the round with a 3-2 record, defeating Stanford, Harvard, and UPenn. With their record, the Eagles clinched a spot into the top-four round on Monday afternoon.
Boston College completed the top-4 round with a 1-2 record over three races. The Eagles earned their lone victory over Dartmouth with a 1-2-6 finish.
Boston College finished the National Championship regatta in third place with a 12-7 record.
Stanford won the Open National Championship with a 18-1 record, while Yale, Dartmouth, and Harvard rounded out the top-five.
Boston College was led by Skippers Colleen O'Brien, Michaela O'Brien, and Caroline Sibilly, who were joined by a Crew of Sophia Hacket, Libby Redmond, Sara Schumann, and Katelyn McGauley.
