Eagles will host UConn this Wednesday ahead of road trip to Notre Dame

BRIGHTON, Mass. — Boston College Baseball (19-16, 7-11) fell 9-3 in game three against No. 14 Wake Forest (24-11, 9-9), dropping the weekend series two games to one after Cameron Leary's walk-off home run on Saturday night.

The Eagles opened the scoring in the top of the first, with Kyle Wolff (Andover, Mass.) driving an RBI double to the left field wall, his team-leading 12th of the year. He added another run-scoring knock in the ninth, bringing home Adam Magpoc (Torrance, Ca.) from second. Wolff finished 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI, and a stolen base. Magpoc finished 3-for-5 as well, with a double and a run scored.

A.J. Colarusso (Leominster, Mass.) made his ninth start of the season and was issued the loss (3-4). Blake Morningstar earned the win (2-0) for Wake Forest.

The Eagles will wrap up this homestand this Wednesday when they host UConn at 3:00 p.m., before heading to South Bend for a road series at Notre Dame this weekend.
