BC is Set to Face GW and Georgetown on the Road

Eagles head to D.C. for two days of competition
Washington D.C.– Following last weekend's 1-2 run at the Eagles ACC Opener against the University of Virginia, the Boston College softball program continues spring break in Washington D.C. where they will face George Washington and Georgetown.
This will be the first meeting of BC and George Washington in program history, while the Eagles are 2-1 all-time against Georgetown. The Eagles faced the Hoyas earlier this season at the FGCU Kick-Off Classic dominating Georgetown 3-0, with Halie Pappion dishing a no-hitter from behind the circle. Â

INSIDE THE MATCH-UP

INSIDE THE MATCH-UP
- The Eagles have never faced George Washington in program history. The Revolutionaires have faced this season's competitors the University of Rhode Island multiple times. GW fell 4-7 in 2023 against the Rams. The Eagles defeated URI at the Owl Classic 3-1 earlier this season.Â
- George Washington head coach Chirssy Schoonmaker enters her third season with the Revolutionaries. In her first season with the program Schoonmaker guided the program to their second straight conference regular season title earning Atlantic 10 Coach of the year. Â
- Led by All-American Sierra Lange and A-10 Player of the Year Alexa Williams, GW went 36-17, including a 21-3 mark in conference play.
- BC last faced Georgetown at the FGCU Kick-off Classic earlier this season in a 3-0 shutout. Pitcher Halie Pappion led BC with a no-hitter including 11 strikeouts on 114 pitches, dominating the Hoyas
- Georgetown is 9-11 on the season.
- The Eagles faced the Hoyas earlier this season at the FGCU Kickoff Classic defeating Georgetown in a 3-0 shutout.
- Georgetowns' Cameron Kondo named First Team All-Big East. Led the Hoyas batting .331 for the season.Â
- Head Coach Pat Conlan enters her 19th season with the Hoyas. Last season Conlan guided the Hoyas to a 16-33 season.Â
