- Quarterback Thomas Castellanoses provided a number of highlights throughout the practice as he gets reacquainted with BC's returning receivers and builds trust with the newcomers.
- Castellanos and rising sophomore Jaedn Skeete connected regularly, including back-to-back completions in the early team period. Later in practice, the offensive line bought Castellanos time to stand in the pocket and hang in for a deep seam pass to Skeete. Castellanos also completed a pass to Skeete on a play-action bootleg.
- Castellanos and Lewis Bond, BC's leader in receptions last fall, were regularly in sync with multiple receptions on slants and screens.
- Transfer Jerand Bradley (Texas Tech) also got into the mix with a nice back-shoulder pass from Castellanos down the right sideline.
- In the run game, Castellanos put his legs to the test with a 25-yard scramble on a broken play.
- Fifth-year linebacker Kam Arnold, BC's leading returning tackler, was regularly paired with Daveon Crouch in the middle of the Eagles' defense.
- Cornerback Carter Davis, who appeared in two games and redshirted 2023, had a stellar day on defense. He broke up a pass in a full team period and provided an interception late in practice.
- The defensive line made its best push in the second team period of the day. Edwin Kolenge was quick off the line to immediately meet a handoff in the backfield. Josiah Griffin then jumped into the backfield and knocked a pass down two plays later.
