Zhang Paces Eagles to Fifth Place Finish at Reynolds Lake Oconee Invite

Sophomore finishes seventh with a score of 220
GREENSBORO, Ga. -- Boston College tied for fifth at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational, compiling a team total of 906.
The Eagles improved in each of the three rounds of play, opening with a 309 on the first day, followed by a second round 302. Â BC's best round came on Sunday, posting a final round 294.
Cynthia Zhang led BC with a seventh place finish. Â Zhang was 4-over for the tournament (220), carding back-to-back even-par 72's on the weekend. Â She ranked fourth among the field in total pars, with 36 over the 54-hole tournament. Â Zhang also carded eight birdies.
Emily Böhrer tied for 21st place (226). Â Her best round was a 1-over 73 on Saturday, followed up by a final round 74. Â She was among the leaders in the field on par 4 hoes, playing them at 2-over for the tournament ((4.07 avg).
Stephany Kim tied for 36th place (230), improving in each of her three rounds played, capped by a final round 75. Â Kim posted seven birdies for the tournament - fourth-most among the field.
Angel Lin tied for 35th place (231), posting her best round - a 2-over 74 - during the final round of play. Â She registered 34 pars for the tournament. Â Canice Screene tied for 62nd place (238), also finishing strong with a final round 74.
The Eagles return to action on March 11-12 at the Briar's Creek Invitational.
