Emily Böhrer led BC with a tie for 16th place overall
JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. -- Boston College placed 13th at the Briar's Creek Invitational, held at the Golf Club of Briar's Creek. The Eagles compiled a team score of 893 (294-292-307).
Emily Böhrer led BC, tying for 16th place. She opened the tournament with a pair of 2-under 71's and finished the 54-hole tournament with a 2-over score of 218.
Cynthia Zhang led BC with a seventh place finish. Zhang was 4-over for the tournament (220), carding back-to-back even-par 72's on the weekend. She ranked fourth among the field in total pars, with 36 over the 54-hole tournament. Zhang also carded eight birdies.
Emily Böhrer tied for 21st place (226). Her best round was a 1-over 73 on Saturday, followed up by a final round 74. She was among the leaders in the field on par 5 holes, playing them at 4-over for the tournament (4.67 avg).
Stephany Kim tied for 45th place (78-70-77=225), posted the low round for the Eagles for the tournament - a 2-under second round 70. Kim led BC with 39 pars.
Cynthia Zhang (76-75-77) and Angel Lin (72-76-80) tied for 58th place, with a total score of 228, while Canice Screene tied for 80th place (75-79-77). Screene led BC with 10 birdies. Maya Obermueller, playing as an individual, placed 102nd (84-81-83=248).
The Eagles return to action on March 29-30 at the Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay, in Grasonville, Md.
