
Two Eagles Earn Bronze at ACC Championships

Levi Hughes and Cameron Cho Earn bronze medals at ACC Fencing Championships
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Levi Hughes and Cameron Cho earned bronze medals as the Boston College Fencing team competed in the 2024 ACC Fencing Championships at the Joyce Center on the campus of the University of Notre Dame on Saturday and Sunday.Â
The Eagles traveled to South Bend, Ind. to compete at the 2024 ACC Fencing Championships, and were joined by Duke, Notre Dame, and North Carolina.
The meet took place over two days, with Saturday consisting of Men's and Women's individual round robin bouts. The round robin bouts were followed by semifinals and finals bouts. Men's and Women's team events were on Sunday to finish the championship meet.
Levi Hughes took home the bronze medal in Men's Epee, while Colin Yu placed 11th. The Eagles had two fencers finish in the top-ten in Men's Foil. Elijah Onik finished seventh overall, and Adam Yang placed ninth. Ryan Ho finished 11th, while Christian Ko placed 14th. Inigo Rivera earned fourth place in Men's Sabre, and Luca Berman earned ninth place. Colin Noble and Ryan Wong finished 14th and 15th respectively.Â
Cameron Cho finished third overall, earning the bronze medal in Women's Foil. Taylor Sartori placed 11th, while Taylor Cho placed 14th and Greta DeBack came in 15th. Two Eagles placed in the top-ten for Women's Epee. Junyao Lu earned eight overall, and Helen Cobert earned 10th. Anisha Kundu and Cynthia Ming rounded out the finishers for the Eagles. Rachel Buhay was the top finisher for the Eagles in Women's Sabre, placing seventh overall. Rachel Liu finished 10th, while Artemis Christeas and Isabella Zielinski placed 13th and 14th respectively.Â
On the Women's side, the Eagles finished tied for third overall in the team event with a record of 1-2 overall. Notre Dame took home the ACC team title, finishing with a 2-1 recordÂ
The Men's team placed fourth overall, finishing with an overall record of 0-3. North Carolina went 3-0 overall and won the ACC team title.Â
