Eagles Head to USF Tournament

TAMPA, Fla.– Following last weekend's 4-1 run at the FGCU Kick-off classic, the Boston College softball program returns to Florida for the USF Tournament.

UIC, University of South Florida, Hofstra, and Purdue make up the competition for the four-team tournament with University of South Florida playing BC twice on the weekend while UIC, Hofstra, and Purdue will play the Eagles once.

Thursday:
vs. UIC (1:30 p.m.)
at University of South Florida (6:30 p.m.)

Friday:
vs Hofstra (2 p.m.)
at University of South Florida (4:30 p.m.)

Saturday
vs. Purdue (9 a.m.)

LEADING OFF

UIC enters the 2024 season coming off a 9-43 campaign.
Head Coach Lyn Curylo enters her seventh season leading the Dragons. She is 311-360 (.463) in her career and 164-175 (.483) in her seven seasons with UIC.
Last season was UICs' first season in the Missouri Valley Conference
The University of South Florida is currently 4-2 on its season after an appearance in the USF-Rawlings Invitational after defeating Illinois, Bethune-Cookman, Michigan, and Kansas.
The Bulls return after a 32-24 campaign in 2024 led by Head Coach Ken Eriksen who has led the Bulls to 16 of their 17 NCAA tournament appearances, including eight in his last 10 years.
The Bulls have added 14 newcomers to their 2024 team. Nine freshman and five transfers.
Hofstra opens its 2024 campaign at the USF Tournament, last season the Pride closed its season on a 29-27 record.
Head Coach Adrienne Clark enters her third season leading the Pride
Magali Fressotti enters her first season as the Head Coach of Purdue Softball. Fressotti served as an assistant for the Boilermakers the last two years.
The Boilermakers opened its 2024 season at the Red and Black Showcase meeting Murray State, South Dakota, and no. 6 Georgia. Purdue finished the showcase 3-2 falling to Georgia twice.
