4-3 Heartbreaker Snaps Eagles' Three-Game Streak
February 11, 2024 | Women's Tennis
WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Eagles (3-2, 0-0 ACC) snapped their three-game winning streak on Sunday, dropping a 3-4 heartbreaker to Xavier (5-2, 1-0 BEC).
After surrendering the doubles point, Boston College answered by winning three of the first four singles matches in straight sets. Marice Aguiar (6-2, 6-0), Tola Glowacka (6-2, 6-2), and Natalie Eordekian (6-1, 6-1) each put together dominant performances as the trio prevented their opponents from winning more than two games in any set.
BC led Xavier 3-2 heading into the final two singles matches. However, both were pushed to a third set, with the Eagles dropping back-to-back matches in a tightly contested affair.
