Pappion Throws No-Hitter in BC Win over Georgetown

FORT MYERS, Fla.–Sophomore Halie Pappion threw a no-hitter in a 3-0 victory against Georgetown in the FGCU Kickoff Classic.
Pappion posted an incredible stat line, with a career high 11 strikeouts, three walks in seven innings. The Louisiana native started off hot, striking out six of the first seven batters she faced.
The Eagles got on the board early in the bottom of the second. With Emma Jackson and Gator Robinson both on bases, Nicole Giery hit a double to center field advancing Jackson through home plate. The momentum continued for the Eagles in the third inning. Mckenna Segal hit deep into left field working Zoe Hines and Jules Shields around the bases.
The last time the two teams faced-off in 2020 both teams threw no-hitters, the Eagles proved victories in extra innings.
The Eagles return to action next weekend in Tampa, Fla. In the USF Tournament where the Eagles will face UIC, South Florida, Hofstra, and Purdue.
