Four Eagles reach double figures, led by Mason Madsen's 15 points
DURHAM, N.C. — Mason Madsen led four Boston College players in double figures with 15 points as the Eagles dropped an 80-65 decision at #9/10 Duke.
Trailing by four - 36-32 - at the break, Boston College fell behind the scoring push from the Blue Devils over the first five minutes of the final frame. Â The Eagles connected on 40.7% (24-59) from the floor, but made only 5-of-26 from the perimeter for the afternoon.
Claudell Harris Jr. added 13 points (3 3FG), while Devin McGlockton added 11 and Jaeden Zackery 10.
FIRST HALF

FIRST HALF
- Mason Madsen scored Boston College's first seven points - and nine of the first 11
- Duke led by as many as eight points - 22-14 with 9:36 to play - before BC used a 14-7 push - capped by back-to-back 3-pointers from Claudell Harris Jr. to take a 28-27 lead.
- BC started 1-for-10 from 3-point land before the pair of trifectas from Harris
- The Eagles were 8-for-11 from inside the arc during that stretch
- BC registered seven assists on its 12 made field goals, while committing only three turnovers
- Duke opened up a 12-point advantage less than five minutes into the second half.
- BC would get it back to single digits after a Prince Aligbe bucket made it 51-43 with 13:17 to play.
- But Duke would take it back to double figures the rest of the way, leading by as many as 17 points- 65-48 - with 8:17 to play.
- The Eagles continued to share the ball, registering eight assists on 12 made field goals, but struggled from the perimeter (2-12) over the final 20 minutes of play
- Mason Madsen led four BC players in double figures, with 15 points
- Madsen also led BC with an efficiency rate of 17, having logged four rebounds, two assists, and a steal
- Devin McGlockton logged his ninth game in double figures in ACC play
- It marked the 13th time this season that the Eagles committed fewer than 10 turnovers in the game.
- Jaeden Zackery needs 16 more steals to crack BC's all-time top 10 list. Â He has 143 swipes in 89 career games
- Boston College dropped its 10th straight against Duke and remains winless in 14 tries at Cameron Indoor Stadium
- Boston College will host a pair of home games next week - Louisville on Tuesday and Miami on Saturday. Â
- Tipoff against the Cardinals is set for 9 p.m. while the game against the Hurricanes will tip at 4 p.m. - both on ACC Network.
