A Win Would
- Give BC an 11-4 mark and 2-0 record in ACC action.
- Give the Eagles their first 2-0 start to league play since 2008-09.Â
- Snap a 17-game skid against the Cardinals.Â
Conference Action
BC won its ACC opener against Virginia on Dec. 8 in Charlottesville, 72-57. The Eagles were led by T'yana Todd's season-best 21 points, while the Eagles forced UVA to miss 21 3-pointers and a season-high 22 turnovers.Â
Toddy on Target
The junior guard for BC is putting up career shooting numbers with 44.5/47.6/88.2 shooting splits. Todd is 12th in the nation and second in the ACC in 3-point field goal percentage, while she is the only player in the ACC and one of five in the nation shooting at least 40 percent from the field, 85 percent from the line, 45 percent from deep and attempting at least 9.5 field goal attempts per game. Her current 3-point field goal percentage would be the highest in program history dating back to the 1999-00 season.Â
9 - Nine players on BC are averaging at least 14 minutes per game, while five are averaging at least 20.Â
10 - The Eagles hit double-digit triples in back-to-back games for the first time since the 2020-21 season.Â
14 - Tatum Greene's 14 blocks lead the Eagles and are third among all freshmen in the ACC. She is also the only freshman averaging at least 1.0 block and 1.0 steal per game.Â
380 -Â Ivey's 380 assists are eighth all-time in school history.
1000 - Waggoner became the 32nd player in program history to reach 1,000 points.Â
What to Watch for
- See if the BC defense can slow down a Louisville attack with an offensive rating of 116.3 in its wins (76.8 in losses).
- Watch if the Eagles can protect the rock on Sunday, as the Cardinals are averaging just over 20.8 points off turnovers this season.
- In three games last season against Louisville, Dontavia Waggoner averaged 15 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and shot 47.4 percent from the field, highlighted by a 22-point, six-rebound outing in one of the matchups. See if Waggoner can find success against the Cardinals.
- The Eagles are averaging 37 points from their bench over the last five games. See if the reserves can continue to provide a spark.
- Watch if the Eagles can continue their solid 3-point shooting, hitting at least 10 3-pointers in back-to-back games for the first time since 2020-21 after draining a season-high 12 against CCSU.
