Killeen, Klein Claim ACC Weekly Awards

The duo were instrumental in BC’s victory over No. 8 North Carolina

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College men's soccer players Marci Killeen and Brennan Klein were named recipients of ACC weekly awards, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Killeen was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Klein was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

The duo played a key role in Boston College's 1-0 upset victory over No. 8 North Carolina this past Friday. Killeen scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute from 30 yards out, while Klein made six saves to earn the shutout.

The Eagles take on SMU in the first round of the ACC Tournament this Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Dallas at the Washburne Soccer Stadium. The game will be available to stream on ACC Network Extra.
