Perreault, Hagens Claim Hockey East Weekly Awards

AMESBURY, Mass. – Sophomore Gabe Perreault and freshman James Hagens were named recipients of Hockey East weekly awards following BC's weekend sweep over No. 10 St. Cloud State.

Perreault was named the Co-Player of the Week award while Hagens was named the Rookie of the Week.

Perreault finished the weekend with three goals, including both game-winners. On Friday, he scored a power-play goal and an empty net goal in the 4-1 victory and followed that up with a third period goal on Saturday to complete the 2-1 come-from-behind win.

Hagens earns his first weekly award after chipping in four assists this weekend. The freshman recorded two assists in Friday's win before assisting both goals in Saturday's victory.

The pair are tied for the team lead in points with 10 each.

The Eagles currently sit at No. 2 in this week's USCHO.com and USA Hockey / The Rink Live polls.
