Eagles Look to Close out Regular Season Play

BC splits the week hosting Clemson and heading to UVA
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.-- The Boston College volleyball team splits the last week of regular season play facing Clemson (10-19, 2-16 ACC) Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at home while traveling to Charlottesville to face the Cavaliers (21-8, 11-7 ACC) Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
The Eagles faced Syracuse twice this past week, defeating the Orange in five in the Women's Building and defeating 'Cuse in four in the Margot Connell Rec Center on Senior Day. The week was led by Audrey Ross adding 32 kills over the nine sets of play. Halle Schroder tallied double-doubles in both matches against the Orange, landing her with 13 on the season. Cornelia Roach had a career-high day against 'Cuse at home tallying 12 kills and 14 points in her first double figure game of her career. The offense was guided by Aubrey Moore who added 50 assists over the two matches, she notched a career-high 31 on the road against 'Cuse.Â
The Eagles host Clemson in the second meeting of the programs this season. The Eagles last faced the Tigers on the road Nov. 15 falling in five sets. BC was able to secure the second and third sets hitting .385 and .333 respectively adding 14 kills in each, but dropped the final set 15-12. The effort was led by Ross adding 18 kills and two service aces while Brooklyn Yelland led the program defensively adding 15 digs. Road led BC with nine blocks, while Sophia Lambros guided the offense with 26 assists.Â
Boston College closes out regular season play on the road facing Virginia. In the teams last meeting Ross and Schroder both landed in double-digit kill figures with 16 and 11 respectively. BC out blocked UVA 10 to seven with Haggerty leading the effort adding five. The Eagles look for its 11th all-time win against the Cavaliers Saturday.Â
