Eagles Set for Match against the Orange

BC faces Syracuse on Wednesday and Sunday
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.-- The Boston College volleyball team (12-16, 5-11 ACC) splits the week traveling to Syracuse on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. and hosting the Orange on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. for Senior Day, all matches will be streamed on ACCNX.Â
The Eagles finished the past weekend with a five set loss to Clemson and a three set loss to No. 15 Georgia Tech. Halle Schroder led the effort adding 27 kills over eight sets played. While Sophia Lambros guided the offense over the two matches adding 41 assists. The defense was led by Brooklyn Yelland who tacked on 27 digs averaging 3.38 digs per set. Cornelia Roach led the front row's defense adding 14 blocks on the weekend including five solo.Â
Wednesday's match-up with the Orange will be the 37th all-time meeting between the two teams since 1990. The Eagles are looking for its 12th all-time victory, defeating Syracuse twice last season.Â
In the most recent match-up with 'Cuse Sam Hoppes led the returners with nine kills, while Julia Haggerty and Grace Milliken tacked on six and five blocks respectively. Sophia Lambros guided the offense and led the Eagles with 26 assists.
