Olivia Benton Prepares for NCAA Individual Championship

Benton marks the first athlete in BC program history to qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.-- Boston College is sending Olivia Benton to the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship in Waco, Texas from Nov. 19-24. Benton is set to compete in the Round of 64 on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 6:00 p.m.
Benton qualified for Nationals at the ITA New England Regionals. Benton fought through two rounds of qualifying matches to compete in the main draw. She went on to defeat five other competitors to land in the finals. Benton finished as the runner-up, qualifying for the NCAA Singles Championship.Â
Benton is set to compete against San Diego's Kailey Evans in singles competition. Evans is a Redshirt Senior and sits 10-5 in singles competition this season. Evans replaced Oklahoma State's Ange Oby after she withdrew from the singles field.Â
