Women's Cross Country Places Third at Northeast Regional

Aoife Dunne and Abby Lewis earn All-Region honors as the Eagles finish third overall.
HOPKINTON, N.H. – The Boston College Women's Cross Country team placed third overall at the 2024 NCAA Northeast Regional Championship in Hopkinton, N.H. on Friday afternoon.
Aoife Dunne and Abby Lewis both earned All-Region honors for their top-25 finishes on the day. Lewis placed 20th overall with a time of 20:24.43, while Dunne crossed the finish line at 21st place with a time of 20:26.55.
Abby Loveys (20:32.29) and Molly Hudson (20:34.53) finished 26th and 27th respectively, while Roshni Singh was the final scorer for the Eagles placing 37th overall with a time of 20:52.38.
Lily Flynn and Yasmine Abbes rounded out the group of Eagles who completed the six-kilometer course. Flynn earned a time of 21:01.51 which was good for 49th overall, while Abbes finished 51st with a time of 21:03.74
As a team, Boston College placed third overall, compiling 131 points. Providence took home the regional championship with 51 points, while Syracuse (105), Harvard (144), and UConn (151) rounded out the top-five.

The Eagles will have to wait to see if they punch a ticket to the NCAA Cross Country Championships next weekend via an at-large bid. The NCAA D1 Men's and Women's Cross Country selection show will be Saturday at 5 p.m. streaming live on NCAA.com. The 2024 NCAA Division 1 Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23 in Madison, Wisc. at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course.
