No. 2 BC Heads to UConn Friday for Lone Game of the Weekend

Eagles play first road league contest of the year against the Huskies
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Second-ranked Boston College travels to Connecticut Friday to take on the UConn Huskies in its first road Hockey East contest of the season. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+. Radio coverage on WEEI 850 AM will begin 15 minutes prior to puck drop.

SETTING THE SCENE
• The Eagles improved to 7-1-0 overall and 2-0-0 in Hockey East with a league-opening two-game sweep over No. 5 Maine this past weekend
• UConn is currently 5-5-1, 2-4-1 and was swept by Merrimack in a home-and-home series last weekend

• The Eagles hosted No. 5 Maine for a Friday and Sunday weekend series to open Hockey East play, picking up two victories to claim the sweep
• On Friday, BC overturned a 2-0 deficit, scoring three goals in the final 9:35 to come back and win
• Andre Gasseau, Mike Posma and Ryan Leonard each scored for the Eagles
• Gabe Perreault recorded two assists while Leonard also chipped in an assist to finish with two points
• Jacob Fowler made 30 saves in the contest to earn the win
• BC carried the momentum into Sunday, earning a 3-0 victory
• Fowler posted a 26-save shutout
