Eagles combine for a 4-2 record on the night as the Eagles host the 2024 Beanpt
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College Fencing team competed at the 2024 Beanpot on Wednesday night at the Margot Connell Recreation Center.
Boston College competed against Brandeis, Harvard, and MIT to open their 2024 regular season.Â
On the Men's side, Boston College finished the night with a 2-1 overall record, defeating Brandeis 15-12 in round 1 and MIT 14-13 in round 3. They fell to Harvard 10-17 in round 2.Â
Men's Epee led the way throughout the night, compiling a perfect 3-0 record overall. Men's Sabre and Foil both finished 1-2.Â
On the Women's side, the Eagles completed the night with a 2-1 overall record. Boston College defeated Brandeis 19-8 in round 1 and MIT 19-8 in round 3, while falling to Harvard 12-15 in round 2.Â
The Eagles swept all three weapons on the Women's side against Brandeis and MIT, including two 8-1 wins by Women's foil. Women's Foil finished a perfect 3-0 on the night, while Women's Sabre and Epee both earned 2-1 records. Â
