Men's Cross Country Competes at ACC Championship

CARY, N.C. – The Boston College Men's Cross Country team competed at the 2024 ACC Cross Country Championships on Friday at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C., placing 14th overall.

Theodor Schucht was the top finisher for the Eagles on the day, placing 55th overall with a time of 23:36.4. Schucht's time earned him a season-best.

Will Purnell completed the eight-kilometer course with a time of 23:41.2, placing 63rd overall. Steven Jackson (23:41.2) placed 77th and Edward Sullivan (24:36.8) placed 104th, while Eero Helenius (24:54.9) was the final scorer for the Eagles at 108th overall.

Cruz Brown and Sean Fortunato rounded out the Eagles who competed at the ACC Championship meet on Friday. Brown (25:27.80) placed 113th, while Fortunato (25:57.3) placed 117th.

As a team, Boston College finished 14th overall with 389 points. Wake Forest (60) won the team title, followed by Stanford (69), North Carolina (80), Virginia (94), and Syracuse (122) to round out the top-five.

Up Next: The Eagles will compete at the NCAA Northeast Regional on Nov. 15 in Hopkinton, N.H.
