The Minutewomen snap the Eagles' 6-game winning streak
AMHERST, Mass. - No. 11 Boston College (8-3, 3-0 ACC) fell to the No. 19 Minutewomen of the University of Massachusetts (9-3, 2-0 A10) by a score of 1-0 on Sunday in Amherst.
The lone goal of the game came with two minutes to play in the first quarter, as Dempsey Campbell tipped in a pass in front of the goal to give the Minutewomen the advantage, which they would hold for the remainder of the game.
The Eagles had the edge in shots (13-6), shots on goal (10-3), and penalty corners (10-4), but were unable to find the back of the net due to Myrte Van Herwijnen's 10 saves.
Up Next: The Eagles are back in action next weekend, as they host the University of California on Friday at 5 p.m., and the Stanford Cardinal on Sunday at 12 p.m. in the annual MS Awareness Game.
