Eagles Fly South to Face Wake Forest and NC State

Volleyball travels to North Carolina to face-off Wake Forest and NC State
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.-- The Boston College volleyball team (9-12, 2-8 ACC) travels South to face Wake Forest (12-9, 4-6 ACC) Friday Nov. 1 at 7:00 p.m. and NC State (11-7, 6-4 ACC) Sunday Nov. 3 at Noon.
The Eagles split the past weekend sweeping Virginia Tech and falling to Virginia in five sets at home.
Audrey Ross led the weekend adding 25 kills over the two games including nine in the victory over Virginia Tech averaging 3.13 kills per set over the two matches. The back row was led by Brooklyn Yelland adding 25 digs averaging 3.13 digs per set. Julia Haggerty led the defense on the net adding 11 blocks including three solo.
The Eagles meet Wake Forest to continue conference play on the road, after meeting the Demon Deacons in 2023 falling in four sets. In the last match-up Sam Hoppes and Halle Schroder led the charge adding a combined 14 kills in the four set match. Cornelia Roach had a career high three aces against Wake in 2023 she added four blocks in the effort.
The Eagles are looking for its 14th all-time victory against NC State on Sunday. Last season BC faced the Wolfpack twice, splitting the matches. In the first meeting of the 2023 season the Eagles defeated NC State in five sets, Ross and Schroder led the offense tallying 31 kills against the Wolfpack. Schroder added three aces and 16 digs. Lambros guided the offense tacking on a career-high 39 assists. In the Eagles second match-up of the season BC fell in four sets to the Wolfpack, Ross collected a career high 23 kills tacking on five blocks in the effort.
The Eagles continue ACC play at home next week to meet Notre Dame (Nov. 8, 7:00 p.m.) and Louisville (Nov. 10, 1:00 p.m.).
