Willebrandt Earns Shutout on Senior Day

Eagles defeat Miami 3-0 on Senior Day in Newton.
CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. – Senior Goalkeeper Wiebke Willebrandt earns shutout as the Boston College Women's Soccer defeats Miami 3-0 on senior day at the Newton Soccer Complex.
BC improves to 11-5-2 overall with a 3-4-2 league record while Miami falls to 5-7-4 overall and 1-5-3 in the ACC.
Emily Sapienza and Ella Richards led the Eagles with two shot attempts each, while Aislin Streicek and Richards both landed one shot on target.
Goalkeeper Wiebka Willebrandt played all 90 minutes, finishing the game with 16 shots faced and four saves.
Aislin Streicek opened the scoring and gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute off of a pass from Ella Richards. The senior's sixth goal of the season beat the diving goalkeeper in the box. BC went into the half with a one goal lead.
Georgina Clarke doubled the Eagles' lead in the 71st minute as she took a cross from Paige Peltier and finished home a header inside the right post. Clarke's second-half goal earned her her first collegiate goal.
The Eagles added their third and final goal of the day four minutes later, when Peltier's shot from the left of the box reached the back of the net in the 74th minute.
Peltier and Ava Lung both lead the Eagles on the day with two points each. Peltier finished with a goal and an assist, while Lung tallied two assists.
BC wraps up the 2024 season on Thursday, Oct. 31 as they take on Syracuse at 7 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
