Women's Cross Country Wraps Regular Season at Pre-Nationals

Boston College places 20th overall at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals meet on Saturday.
MADISON, Wisc. – The No. 24 ranked Boston College Women's Cross Country team wrapped up its regular season at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals meet on Saturday morning, placing 20th overall.Â
The Eagles competed against some of the top teams in the country on the Women's side, including 20 ranked teams in the USTFCCCA week 3 national poll.Â
Roshni Singh was the first Eagle to cross the finish line in the Women's 6k race, placing 83rd overall. Singh covered the six-kilometer course in a season-best time of 20:30.9. Abby Loveys finished five seconds behind Singh with a time of 20:35.0, earning her 96th place. Loveys' time of 20:35.0 is good for a season-best for the transfer Eagle.Â
Aoife Dunne (101st) and Abby Lewis (112th) crossed the finish line five seconds apart, while Molly Hudson (145th) was the final scorer for the Eagles with a time of 20:59.3. Dunne, Hudson, and Lewis all earned season-best times after completing the six-kilometer course.Â
Ella Fadil (20:59.6) and Lily Flynn (21:04.6) crossed the line at 146th and 158th respectively, while Molly FitzPatrick (21:29.0) rounded out the group of Eagles who competed in the six-kilometer championship race. Fadil and Flynn both crossed the finish line with season-best times.Â
The Boston College Women's Cross Country team finished 20th overall with 529 points, while BYU (105) took home the win on the Women's side at the 2024 Wisconsin Pre-Nationals race. Washington (157), Northern Arizona (165), West Virginia (204), and Notre Dame (213) rounded out the top-five finishers.Â
The Boston College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams will compete at the 2024 ACC Cross Country Championships on Friday, Nov. 1 in Cary, N.C.Â
