Men's Soccer Plays to a Draw Against Notre Dame

Ask Ekeland's second half goal earns the Eagles a tie against Notre Dame on Saturday night
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Boston College men's soccer and Notre Dame played to a 1-1 draw in ACC play on Friday night at Alumni Soccer Stadium in South Bend, Ind.Â
 BC now sits at 4-4-6 overall with a 0-4-3 league record while Notre Dame sits at 5-3-5 overall and 2-2-2 in the ACC.Â
Notre Dame opened the scoring in the 24th minute when Mitch Ferguson's free kick shot beat a diving Klein just inside the right post.Â
The Eagles answered back and tied the game up at 1-1 in the 52nd minute off of a goal from Ask Ekeland. Ekeland took a pass from Leo Guarino across the box, and finished it inside the left post from the middle of the penalty box.
Leo Guarino led the Eagles with three shot attempts, including one on goal. Jack Burkhardt recorded two shot attempts, while also landing one on net.Â
Goalkeeper Brennan Klein played all 90 minutes, finishing the game with four saves. Â
BC returns to action next Saturday night to face Stony Brook for senior and alumni night. The game will start at 7 p.m. and can be streamed on ACC Network Extra.Â
