Men's Soccer Earns Home Victory on Senior Night

BC defeats Stony Brook 4-2 on Saturday night in Newton.
CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. – Boston College Men's Soccer earned a 4-2 victory over Stony Brook on senior night on Saturday at the Newton Soccer Complex.
BC improves to 5-4-5 overall with a 0-4-3 league record while Stony Brook falls to 3-9-3 overall and 0-5-2 in the CAA.
Michael Asare and Max Andrews led the Eagles with three shot attempts each, while Leo Guarino, Marco Dos Santos, and Andrews all landed two shots on target.
Goalkeeper Brennan Klein played all 90 minutes, finishing the game with 9 shots faced and no saves.
The Eagles took an early 1-0 lead when Andrews finished home Ask Ekeland's pass through the crease off of a corner kick from Dos Santos in the fifth minute. Andrews' goal gave him his first career collegiate goal.
Stony Brook answered back to tie the game up at 1-1 in the 12th minute, as Olsen Aluc beat Klein inside the right post.
Dos Santos took back the lead for the Eagles off an Olimpico goal that beat the Seawolves defenders and goalie in the 73rd minute. Stony Brook netted a quick goal minutes later to tie the game up at 2-2.
Dos Santos added his second goal of the game when he finished a penalty kick with just under 10 minutes left. The Eagles extended their lead to 4-2 off of a goal from Asare. Asare's shot from the top of the box beat the diving goaltender to the top right of the net.
BC wraps up the 2024 season on Friday, Nov. 1 as they take on North Carolina on the road at 7:30 p.m. on ACC Network.
