Eagles Host No. 19 FSU and Miami

BC continues ACC play at home
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.-- The Boston College volleyball team continues play at home against No. 19 Florida State (12-4, 4-2 ACC) on Friday, Oct. 18 at 7:00 p.m. and Miami (11-6, 2-3 ACC) on Sunday Oct. 20 at 1:00 p.m. Both matches will be featured on the ACC Network Extra.Â
The Eagles split the weekend defeating Cal and falling to No. 5 Stanford. In the win against the Golden Bears, BC secured its first ACC victory on the road in a five set, reverse sweep. While dropping the first and second set, BC dominated the third and fourth, after being down by as many as four in the fifth set the Eagles captured the 15-point deciding set, 19-17 to secure the match.Â
The Eagles meet No. 19 Florida State to continue conference play at home after last meeting the Seminoles Oct. 20, 2023 on the road, falling in three sets. Last season, Schroder led the fight against the Seminoles adding nine kills and eight digs. On the defensive end, Haggerty protected the net adding three blocks while Sophia Lambros guided the offense with 21 assists.Â
On Sunday, the Eagles meet UMiami for the 32nd time, last meeting the Hurricanes in 2023 at Miami. On the road Haggerty led the Eagles hitting a .375 adding on a match high seven blocks.Â
The Eagles continue at home next week to meet Virginia Tech (Fri. Oct. 25, 1:00 p.m.) and Virginia (Sun. Oct. 27, 1:00 p.m.) for the first time this season.Â

Julia Haggerty contributed eight kills, while hitting .350 on the day, and added a match high 10 blocks. Freshman Aubrey Moore noted a career-high 25 assists and added three service aces and eight digs. Brooklyn Yelland led the back row with 22 digs.Â
