BOSTON COLLEGE VS. SYRACUSE - ALL-TIME SERIES
- Today's game marks the 84th meeting between the two schools. BC is 26-57 all-time vs. Syracuse; 9-29 at the JMA Wireless Dome.
- This is the first of two regular season meetings vs. the Orange. Syracuse is Boston College's fourth-most common opponent.
- BC has lost its last 10 - and 12 of its last 13 - against the Cuse.
- From 1979-2005, both teams were members of the Big East. BC was 17-34 against Syracuse in Big East play.
- In ACC play, the Eagles are 3-17 versus the Orange. The last win at the Dome came on Feb. 19, 2014 (62-59 in OT).

- Per KenPom, Boston College ranks 44th nationally in adjusted offensive efficiency with a 114.1 rating.
- The metric measures the total points scored per 100 possessions.
- BC ranks sixth overall in the ACC in adjusted offensive efficiency.
- It is the highest national ranking in the key offensive metric since the 2013-14 season, when BC was 32nd with a 114.3 mark.
- In ACC games only, BC's adjusted offensive efficency mark is 115.3, good for second in the league behind Wake Forest (116.9).
POST, PARTY OF ONE
- Quinten Post is one of the best players in the country and his stat line for the 10-4 Eagles this season is perfect evidence.
- He is the only player in the country averaging at least 18.1 points, 7.8 boards, 3.4 assists, and 2.1 blocks per game.
- Using only points and rebounds: Post, fellow All-American candidates Hunter Dickinson (Kansas) and Zach Edey (Purdue), and Miami's Norchad Omier are the only major conference players averaging at least 18.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
- Using only points and assists: Post is one of nine major conference players to average at least 18.1 points and 3.4 assists per game. The other eight players - KJ Simpson (Colorado), Boo Buie (Northwestern), RJ Davis (UNC), Boogie Ellis (USC), Kevin McCullar Jr. (Kansas), Judah Mintz (Cuse), Mark Sears (Alabama), and Jahmir Young (Maryland) are all guards.
- All of the aforementioned players are on the Naismith and Wooden Award watchlists.
- Post ranks 10th in scoring and sixth in rebounding among players on the Naismith & Wooden Award watch lists.
- Among players on the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar watch list, he is third in scoring, eighth in rebounds, and fourth in blocks.Â
- Post is also posting a 50/40/80 line of shooting percentages - connecting on 52.2 FG%, 46.7 3FG%, and 82.0 FT%.

- Over the past two seasons vs. major conference opponents (23 games), Post is averaging nearly 16.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.2 blocks while shooting .529/.451/.814.

- Boston College's 16-point comeback win at Georgia Tech was the largest for the Eagles since Jan. 15, 2022.
- On that date, the Eagles came back from 23 down in the first half at Clemson to win by two - 70-68.
- The 16-point comeback at GT was the third-most in BC history, behind Clemson (23) and Kent State (18) on Dec. 29, 2004.

- Devin McGlockton poured in a career-high 30 points in a sort of homecoming at Georgia Tech on Jan. 6.
- The sophomore from Cumming, Ga. - about 45 min. from Atlanta - added five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block.
- McGlockton connected on a career-best 12 field goals, including three 3-pointers, in the win.
- Last week, McGlockton averaged 22.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 1.5 steals in two games.
- Over that two-game span, he connected on 77.3% of his shots (17-22), including 4-of-6 3-pointers and 7-of-9 foul shots.
- He is the second Eagle to reach the 30-point mark this season; Quinten Post poured in 31 points in BC's lidlifter vs. Fairfield.
ROAD-TESTED
- Boston College is 3-0 this season in true road games, earning wins at The Citadel, Vanderbilt, and Georgia Tech.
- It marks the first time since the 2004-05 campaign that BC has won its first three road games to start the year.
- Dating back to last season, the Eagles are 5-2 in their previous seven ACC road tilts.

ALWAYS LOOK FOR THE HELPERS
- Boston College's top three scorers - Quinten Post, Claudell Harris Jr., and Jaeden Zackery - are also its top three assists men.
- Zackery ranks third in scoring (12.1) and first in assists (4.4), Post is first in scoring (18.1) and second in assists (3.4), and Harris is second in scoring (15.5) and third in assists (2.0). The trio combines for 9.7 of the Eagles' 14.9 assists per game.
- In ACC play, BC's Big Three - plus Devin McGlockton - rank as the team's top four scorers and dime dishers.
- Wake Forest is the only other ACC school to have its top three scorers rank as its top three passers, averaging 9.2 apg.
- BC and Zackery rank 30th nationally - fifth in the ACC - in assist/turnover ratio, at 1.56:1 and 3.10:1, respectively.
THAT'S OFFENSIVE
- Devin McGlockton's seven offensive rebounds vs. Wake Forest were the most by a Boston College player in an ACC game since Feb. 8, 2022 when James Karnik had seven offensive rebounds vs. Duke on Feb. 12, 2022.
- Quinten Post also had seven offensive boards at home versus Syracuse on Feb. 8, 2022.Â
- Post ranks ninth (2.36 OReb/g) and McGlockton 12th (2.14) in the ACC in offensive rebounds per game.
YEAR OVER YEAR IMPROVEMENTS
- Boston College ranks 71st nationally (5th ACC) in field goal percentage, connecting on 47.2% of its shot attempts.
- A season ago, the Eagles were 222nd (11th ACC), making only 43.7% of its shots from the floor.
- BC has seen similar jumps, year-over-year, in its 3-point field goal percentage.
- This year, the Eagles rank 53rd nationally (4th ACC) in 3FG%, connecting on 36.8% of their long-distance tries.
- In 2022-23, BC ranked among the bottom nationally - 294th (14th ACC) at 31.9%.
UNPRECEDENTED
- Through 14 games during the 2023-24 season, Quinten Post has set new single-game career-highs in scoring (31), rebounding (19), assists (9), blocked shots (5), and steals (6).
- Since 1996-97, no player has equalled those game high statistical figures in a single-season.
- In fact, since 1996-97, only four other players have tallied career-highs equal to what Post has done this season alone.
- Included in that list - 2002-23 National Player of the Year and 15-year NBA veteran David West (Xavier).
CAN'T KNOCK THE HUSTLE
- Boston College is 3-1 this year, 7-1 in 2022-23 and 11-3 since Feb. 21, 2022 when Jaeden Zackery scores at least 15 points.
- Zackery tallied a career-high 21 points in nearly 39 minutes of play at The Citadel on Nov. 10.
- On Dec. 8 against Holy Cross, Zackery led BC with 18 points to go with five boards, four assists, and a steal.
- Against N.C. State, Zackery had a team-high 20 points, grabbing six rebounds, and dropping four dimes.
- When Zackery goes to the free throw line at least five times, BC is 3-2 this year, was 7-2 in 2022-23, and is 12-5 all-time.
- Zackery has committed one or fewer turnovers in seven games in 2023-24 and has 18 total turns in 389 minutes of play so far.
- Boston College has won 10 of its last 12 games when Zackery commits one or fewer turnovers in a game.
- Zackery is the only ACC player with at least seven games of 10 points/4 assists/2 steals.
- Last season, Zackery had nine games with four or more assists. He's done so in 12 of 14 games this season.
COMEBACK KINGS
- Four of Boston College's 10 wins have come when the Eagles have trailed by double digits: Richmond (14, 1st half); Harvard (10, 2nd half); St. John's (10, 2nd half), and Georgia Tech (16, 2nd half).
BRINGING YOU THE BEST OF THE 80'S AND 90'S
- Boston College has put forth two games with at 95 points on the scoreboard - at Georgia Tech and vs. Holy Cross.
- Prior to this season, it marks the team's highest scoring total since Feb. 16, 2022 vs. Notre Dame (95).
- The 95 points at Georgia Tech ties for the third-most points scored by BC in an ACC game since joining the league in 2005-06.
- It the most points in a regulation game for BC since Jan. 1, 2017, when BC tallied 96 points in a home win over Syracuse.
- It ties as the highest single-game scoring total of the Earl Grant era and tied for the most points in a regulation Division I game under Grant as a head coach (95 pts at CofC vs. Hofstra - Feb. 14, 2019)
- In nine-plus seasons between College of Charleston and Boston College, Earl Grant-coached teams are 45-6 when they score at least 80 points, 23-3 when they score at least 85, and 8-2 when scoring 90 or more.
- Since 1981, Boston College is 316-57 when it scores at least 80 points in a game.
BOSTON'S NEW BIG FOUR
- Quinten Post (18.1 ppg), Claudell Harris Jr. (15.5), Jaeden Zackery (12.7), and Devin McGlockton (10.4) account for over 68% of BC's scoring. Through 14 games, the trio is averaging over 56 of BC's 80.4 points per outing.
- The four account for over 55% of BC's rebounds, 70% of assists, 80% of blocks, 60% of steals, and 63% of 3-pointers made.
- In ACC games, the quartet accounts for nearly 80% of the Eagles' scoring output.
 McBLOCKTON
- BC is 19-7 when Devin McGlockton blocks at least one shot and 9-1 when he blocks at least two shots.
- The sophomore forward has registered at least one block in 11 of 14 games in 2023-24 and two blocks in four games.
- The versatile 6-7 post presence is averaging 1.1 blocked shots per game in 27 minutes of playing time.
- In ACC play, McGlockton is averaging nearly a double-double - 19.3 ppg & 7.7 rpg - while shooting nearly 72% from the floor.
- He is the only player averaging at least 19.0 points and 7.0 boards in ACC play.
WELCOME TO THE 30/25 CLUB
- Devin McGlockton (30) and Claudell Harris Jr. (26) joined a rare club in Boston College Men's Basketball history.
- It marked the first time since the 2006-07 season that BC had a game where a player had at least 30 points and another 25.
- On Dec. 28, 2006, Sean Marshall (30) and Tyrese Rice (29) did so in an overtime loss to Duquesne.
- Troy Bell had 30 and Craig Smith 27 in an overtime win against St. Bonaventure on Dec. 4, 2002.
- The only other regulation game in which this occurred came on Feb. 19, 2000, when Bell (31) and Xavier Singletary (25) did so in an 80-76 win at West Virginia.
