Post leads three in double digits; Eagles return to action on Saturday at Georgia Tech
BOSTON (AP) -- Quinten Post logged another 20-point game, and Devin McGlockton and Claudell Harris Jr. each scored 15 as the Eagles late run wasn't enough to push past Wake Forest, 84-78 on Tuesday night.Â
With BC down 10 - 77-67 - with 3:24 left, Harris scored 10 of Boston College's next 11 points, capped by a jumper from the free-throw line with 1:07 left to get the Eagles within 79-78.
Wake's Andrew Carr made a 3-pointer with 11.5 seconds left, which proved to be the backbreaker. The Demon Deacons have now won eight straight.
Boston College, which led 40-36 at the break, had won its last 19 games when leading at halftime. The Eagles had also scored 80-plus points in four straight games.
BC returns to action on Saturday, when it begins a three-game ACC road swing at Georgia Tech. Tipoff in Atlanta is set for 4 p.m. and the game will air live on ESPN2.
